From Building Site to Pristine Finish

Construction and renovation works inevitably leave floors in a state that is far from presentable. Cement mortar drips, grout haze from tiling, adhesive residue, plaster splashes, paint droplets, silicone smears, protective film adhesive, and thick layers of fine construction dust accumulate on floor surfaces throughout the building process. If not properly removed, these residues can permanently damage the floor finish and compromise its appearance.

GFS post-construction cleaning is a systematic, multi-phase process designed to bring new or renovated floors from building-site condition to a pristine, handover-ready state. We work with all floor types—marble, granite, porcelain stoneware, ceramic, terracotta, natural stone, polished concrete and resin—using cleaning agents and techniques specifically calibrated to each material.

Phase one is mechanical removal of large deposits: we carefully scrape off cement drips, adhesive blobs and paint spots using plastic scrapers (to avoid scratching) and steam where appropriate. Phase two is chemical cleaning: we apply acid-based descalers (buffered to safe pH levels for each stone type) to dissolve cement haze, grout residue and mineral deposits. For acid-sensitive stones such as marble and travertine, we use alkaline or enzymatic cleaners instead. Phase three is a thorough rinse and extraction using professional scrubbing machines with vacuum recovery to remove all cleaning residues from the surface.

For floors that have been scratched or dulled during construction, we offer polishing as an additional step. This is common with marble and porcelain floors that have been walked on by workers wearing grit-laden boots. After cleaning, we diamond-polish the surface to restore its original finish before handover.
